Ingredients
- 250g prawns (peeled, deveined, tail on optional)
- 4 tbsp fried seafood powder
- 2–3 tbsp cold water
- Oil for deep frying

Pinch of paprika or chilli powder
Instructions
- Prepare prawns
- Pat prawns dry using kitchen towel. This helps the batter stick better.
- Make batter
- In a bowl, mix fried seafood powder with cold water until smooth.
- The batter should be slightly thick but still able to coat prawns.
- Heat oil
- Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium heat until hot (around 170–180°C).
- Coat prawns
- Dip prawns into batter, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Deep fry
- Fry prawns for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove and drain excess oil.
- Serve immediately
- Best enjoyed hot and crispy.
