Ingredients
- 3–4 Kurau fish chunks
- 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 1 tbsp fermented black bean (面豉豆)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- ½ tsp sugar
- Oil for deep-frying
Instructions
Pat the Kurau pieces dry and season lightly with salt.
Deep-fry until golden and crispy. Set aside.
Heat a small pan with 1 tbsp oil. Sauté garlic and black bean until fragrant.
Add oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, and 2–3 tbsp water.
Simmer for 30 seconds and pour the sauce over the fried Kurau.
Serve immediately with rice.
